I capture and print in order to revisit moments of memory, moments of past experience. My images are windows that welcome me back, pointing to the road I have been on, inviting the viewer to do the same.
Childhood walks in the fields, surf lessons on a summer day, sky gazing, memories of love and loneliness, big moments and little snippets that sum up the person I have become. With alternative and historic printing processes I explore this essence of feeling and memory. It demands my spending time with each negative, the past it represents and the emotion it holds. Working in the darkroom, I honor each of these moments and come to understand the larger picture, my journey.
